Welcome to Phoenix Tennis Club's home page. Phoenix is a very active and friendly tennis club. We play throughout the year on the eight all-weather hard courts owned by the Colchester Institute in Spring Lane, Colchester. The club has three sections as follows: The main club is open to all who are of a sufficient standard. You don't have to be a budding Murray or Sharapova to be a member of Phoenix (though you would be very welcome!) but you have to be able to play a reasonable club doubles game. Benefits include: all-year club sessions, tournaments, club competitions, Colchester and District team play, Colchester and District individual competition entry, Friendly League team play, Friendly League individual competition entry. Phoenix Rising is our adult
coaching section for for beginners, returners, or those who want to
improve their play up to a standard acceptable by mainstream clubs.
All those attaining the required standard will automatically be
offered membership of the main club. Benefits include: all-year supervised club sessions, coaching, tournaments, Friendly League team play, Friendly League individual competition entry. New members are welcome for any of the
sections.
