Matches & Competitions

It doesnÕt seem possible that it is July already and we are over half way through our tennis season.

Most of the C&D matches have now been completed- although Jane has had to work hard to re-arrange some due to the usual British summer weather.

The club competitions are progressing well. As each round is based on 'first to 8 games' we encourage those who participate to play on Tuesday & Saturdays sessions, thus, once completed, it enables people to mix in. It's advisable to let Colin know when you intend to play Ð to avoid congestion. This Tuesday by pure co-incidence there were 5 matches played! This did result in over capacity for a short while - the 1st time this year. Please send all your results to Colin at Colin_Stallwood@hotmail.com.

Remember that we have all the courts on Saturday afternoon so it would be good to see as many of you as possible.

New Members

We would like to welcome 2 new members to our club:
Ian Geen and Phil Graylen

Although it is encouraging that we have 2 new members it would still be great if we could get new people to join. Remember there is an incentive of £10 cashback to any member who introduces new players to the club. (although they have to be to a reasonable standard of course). Please advise David Morran or any Committee members of any players that you wish to bring along. There are also some promotion leaflets for distribution which are in the Phoenix tennis box.
